This year, many of the proposals considered involved students creating meaningful relationships with communities through work with the elderly and Alzheimer's patients. Other applications focused on culture and the arts, such as an application exploring creative reinterpretations of famous plays and another wishing to study Dominican music. Some applications addressed community challenges such as food insecurity by creating meal kits and another application addressed sustainability by examining the production and consumption of beauty products.
Each application was unique, showcasing students' creativity, compassion, and desire to make a difference.
The three recipients of this year's grant are May Bitton '25, Leili Singer '26, and Claire Truesdale '26.

Adaptable Baby Clothing
I hope to create a uniquely designed line of innovative baby and toddler clothing that grows with children, so that families who may be financially struggling do not have to spend as much money continually buying new clothes for their kids.

Sensory Boards
Children worldwide experience obstacles that make it difficult to connect with others. To promote inclusion and teach children the values of empathy and compassion, our goal is to build adapted play structures that are accessible to children with a wide range of abilities. We believe each child deserves an equal opportunity to grow, and for many, it starts with a playground.
